Expectations began as an intuitive experiment undertaken without a clear concept or purpose. Wanting to reinforce the physical fragility of paper drawings, I created crochet backgrounds using textured jute and cotton yarn and embroidered figures onto them.

Through this process, I began a focused exploration of the visual and emotional tensions that arise when drawing meets material.

Expectations는 뚜렷한 개념이나 목적 없이 직관적으로 시작한 실험 작업이다. 종이 위 드로잉이 가진 물리적 약함을 보완하고자 질감이 풍부한 황마사와 면사로 코바늘 배경을 만들고, 그 위에 인물들을 수놓았다. 이 과정을 통해 드로잉과 재료가 만나면서 발생하는 시각적·감정적 긴장에 대해 본격적으로 탐구하기 시작했다.
