Born in Seoul in 1995, I explore the relationships between humans, space and time through line, color and materiality. Currently a Meisterschüler at the Mainz Academy of Fine Arts, my practice focuses on drawing and installation. In these works, marks and forms emerge directly from the movement of my hands and body. These gestures capture fleeting sensations and emotions, translating the intangible into visible traces.
The materials I use are not merely representational tools; they actively shape how sensory impressions and forms manifest. As different media connect and overlap, my work reveals the invisible tensions and intimacies between people and their surroundings. The physical act of mark-making becomes a record of presence, mapping the space between perception and feeling.
Drawing serves as both a meditative practice and a space for exploration. This process invites viewers to engage in a sensory experience and discover their own connections within the work. In the traces left by my hand, body, and material, each viewer may find their own moment of recognition and emotional resonance.
